Yesterday was our 16 week check up and I have learned that my husband is not the most patient person in the world. The doctor was a half an hour late and he is not the type of person to sit still. Thankfully my blood pressure was normal. I am hoping it will stay that way for a while.
The doctor finally came in and we heard the heartbeat again. It is in the 140's and going strong. Baby was even kicking the doppler, I think it wanted to be left alone. Baby even tried moving away from the doppler. It was so funny to actually "hear" the kicks. I told Craig that I was feeling small flutters and he was like it is gas. Now at least baby proved him wrong. Good baby!
I also asked about the H1N1 shot and my doctor recommends that I get it. Of course they are currently sort of stock, I have to call back next week so see if they have more in. I also had blood drawn for the quad screen. This is the test to see if the baby has any markers for downs, etc. Pray that no news is good news, the dr. only calls if there is an abnormality. Crossing fingers and everything else I can, do eyes count?
Next visit is the big ultrasound where we get to see baby and how big it is. Grow bun grow!
