To my friend Chris

I have seen you battle this mysterious disease known as cancer for at least two years now. I can see how it is taking its toll on you. Now it seems it is winning after all those years of fighting. I can not imagine waking up every morning and getting sick thoughout the entire day. Morning sickness has nothing on cancer. It hurts to see you at the cancer center to get fluids and I wish I can take your place. I feel so helpless and I wish that I can do more. Cancer is taking away one of my best friends and it is too soon!

I was thankful you were able to be in my wedding! It meant so much to me, more than you might have known. I miss going shoe shopping at the mall. Even though I can not wear normal shoes right now. I miss our lunches and exchanging clothes. You are so thin now, I am afraid to hug you in the fear I might break something. I hate that you have a hard time keeping warm, walking and you hurt all the time. I do not like all the surgeries you have had to endure. How many can a person go through?

We have not known each other that long but have become as close as sisters. I feel like I am loosing a sister and it sucks! I so much want you to meet your new little niece. If it can not be here, at least meet her in heaven and bless her.

I love you and always will!

Anita

Big U/S Results

Everything looks good with baby. It is bottom down right now so we might have another U/S at 32 weeks. Oh darn that means we get more photos and get to see LO again. LO is currently 11oz and looks perfect. My blood pressure is behaving which is also good. The only bad thing is that I might have a heal spur. If it gets worse I have to see a foot dr.

Oh yes the most important thing, I won the bet with Craig. It is a GIRL!

Teething and U/S

Wow do I really hate this teething process. I feel so helpless for bugs. He was not feeling to good on Thursday so I decided to take a well needed vacation day. Tried to put him in the crib to nap and did not have any success. So he ended up sleeping in mom's arms. That might have been a big mistake.

Friday was worse. I noticed he felt hot around 3:00 am. I took his temperature and it was at 102.5. Grab the Tylenol and the phone to call the nurse line. 102.5 is a low grade fever. I thought low grade, my son is uncomfortable and will not sleep in his crib. He was not drinking a lot due to the fever so trying to get him to drink anything was fun. Even apple juice did not work. Finally the fever broke Saturday afternoon. He was at least taking more of a bottle and by Sunday afternoon he was back to his old self.

I just hope this is the worse of it.

We are looking forward to Wednesday, it is the day we find out if bun is a girl or a boy. Mom thinks we are team pink and Dad thinks we are team blue. We will see who is right in just a few days. I have a feeling I am winning this bet. ; )

Six Month Stats

Bugs is getting to be a big boy. I hate to admit it but I think he might be playing football. On the stipulation that mom plays along right beside him to ensure his utmost safety. At his six month check up he is 21 lbs and 11.5 oz which is in the 97th percentile for weight. He is 28 and 1/4th inches long which is in the 95th percentile. His brain is growing a lot! His head is in the 74th percentile at 44.5.

We got the H1N1 and the flu shot in addition to his routine shots. Bob got the flu mist and H1N1 shot. Bugs did better at getting his shots. A few moments of crying and then off to mom for comfort and it was over. Bob on the other hand started crying even before the needle went in.

I was hoping they would both fall asleep on the way home, bugs was sleeping the moment we pulled out of the parking lot. No such luck for bob.

Six month photo session

Yesterday we had our six month photo session with the photographer. We got a few family shots done for christmas cards. Bugs had more fun outside trying to eat the leaves. I thought of it after the fact, I wish we would have gotten pictures of that. Today we have his six month check up. Hopefully it will go well.

Halloween

Sorry i am a bit late for posting this. We took Bob and Bugs out trick or treating around 6:30. It was quite a sight to have a vampire and a tigger out together. Bob told me she was way over princesses. I guess my little girl is growing up. There were not many houses lit on our block, which was strange. Bugs lasted for a few houses and then decided it was time to go home. Daddy did the honors and took him home while I walked with bob. We walked what it seemed like was forever! I thought we were out for a while but when I got home, the clocks said 7:30. My legs and feet never hurt so bad, I was happy to get home and put them up.

Boo at the Zoo

Last Wednesday, we took Bob and Bugs to the Boo at the Zoo. There was a ton of people, so I am glad we got the tickets early. I was a little disappointed, there were not a lot of animals out. The kids got a lot of candy, from about 30 different booths. Bugs ended up falling asleep about half way through. We even saw a white peacock it was really cool.
